Very well-equipped dive center under German-speaking management by Marcus Hauck & Team. His own enthusiasm for diving and the fascinating underwater world of the Maldives made him stay in the Maldives in the 1980s. The base in the South Male Atoll is located on the western outer reef with direct access to the house reef.
Family friendly resort, Divepoint Rannalhi is also the best place to learn diving during your vacation . Beautiful & accessible lagoon for all the training & open water dives !
South Male Atoll offers many diving highlights in the immediate area. All of our dive spots are within 45 minutes navigation time. There are daily morning and afternoon boat trips to the most beautiful dive sites. For beginners as well as for the “very experienced ones” – we have the possibility to dive at Thilas, where we are able to do easy dives up to a max. depth of 18m and explore fields of anemones, as far as the eye can see. Or let yourself drift with the current through the numerous channels around Rannalhi to encounter surprises like sharks, turtles, dolphins, eagle rays, different stingrays and in summer we have good chances to see manta rays.
The house reef with a maximum depth of about 22 meters is very spacious, perfect for unguided house reef dives as well as guided early morning and night diving.
“Now we know why we learned to dive – it is simply fantastic here”.
Our international dive team live and dive by our slogan “Dive with Friends”. Here you can expect a relaxed and familiar atmosphere with top service as well as relaxing dives, guided by our motivated and competent team. Our dive staff are 100% passionate about diving!
Adaaran Club Rannalhi sits exclusively at the tip of the South Male atoll within the exotic collection of islands known as the Maldives. Its unique location offers access to pristine beaches, excellent scuba diving opportunities and a relaxed environment with easy access to the capital city of Male. Bask in the golden sun and frolic on the soft sands as you experience friendly Maldivian hospitality and explore the rich tropical wonders of a vibrant island nation during your stay at our inviting Maldives hotel.
Another rare find on our reefs is the juvenile harlequin sweetlips. Instead of swimming normally, it drifts head-down, fluttering its fins in a strange dancing motion to mimic toxic flatworms and nudibranchs, making predators think twice before taking a bite.
As it grows, the "dance" gradually disappears and the fish takes on the more typical behavior of an adult sweetlips and also changes appearance from brown with white dots to their adult colours - a yellowish or greyish-white body, covered in large, irregular black or dark brown spots.
Quite a transformation, isn't it?🐠✨🌊

Happy World Ocean Day 🧜♂️🪸🤿
The ocean covers more than 70% of our planet, produces much of the oxygen we breathe, and is home to an incredible variety of life. From tiny plankton to giant whale sharks, every creature plays a role in keeping our oceans healthy.
Today is a reminder that protecting the ocean means protecting our future. Whether it's reducing plastic waste, making sustainable choices, or simply appreciating the underwater world, every action counts. We once again took the opportunity to clean our house reef with our guests and brought up everything that does not belong under the water 👌🏽
A big thanks you also goes out to Adaaran Club Rannalhi for their help and support this afternoon.

Meet the partridge tun, a massive, nocturnal predator of the tropical Indo-Pacific! 🌊🐌
Despite its delicate, checkered shell, this sea snail is a swift hunter - crawling up to 43 cm per minute to stalk its favorite prey: sea cucumbers. It stuns them using acidic saliva before swallowing them completely whole - quite impressive, right?
